We’ve created a new design for our pasture oiler! Our newest pasture oiler comes with a foldable design and is delivered completely assembled.
Each oiler can effectively cover 75 cow/calf pairs, 25 bulls, or 100 yearlings.
For best results, place the oiler near a water and mineral source.
The Prairie Phoenix oiler utilizes a gravity flow system with absolutely no pumps involved. Our metering valves reduce approximately 60% of product waste compared to some competitors.
The tank is transparent so that product levels can be seen quickly and easily.
A full tank of insecticide will generally last 2-3 weeks during peak fly and lice season.
The flow rate can be easily regulated by adjusting the set bolt next to the metering valve. If there is any excess fluid dripping from the rope, simply adjust the set bolt to reduce the extension of the metering valve.
To keep the rope in best condition, we recommend not allowing cattle the chance to rub on a dry rope. This will increase the longevity and lifespan of each rope by 4-5 years.
If using the oiler for flies and lice, we recommend changing the class of insecticide each year.
Our recommendation is to use mineral oil as the carrier for the insecticide, as the mineral oil helps to better saturate the rope and reduce any drying of the animals hide.
Our oiler does not tip! These oilers are effective for all cattle from 350lb calves to herd bulls. We have also successfully applied these oilers to special livestock such as longhorns and buffalo.
We offer a T-bar that is used to hold a mineral feeder.
We also offer a hub-set that makes transporting the oilers behind a vehicle or ATV from pasture to pasture much easier for an additional cost.
