Different Types of Attachments and Implements
Any piece of heavy equipment you use, whether it’s for farming, construction, or some other purpose, will need attachments and implements to make it more versatile. In fact, most machines are virtually useless without the right attachments to help them complete the tasks you need them to do. Here are some of the most common types of implements and attachments that you’ll want to consider for your piece of equipment.
Loaders
A loader attachment has two arms that extend out in front of the piece of equipment, and it’s necessary for being able to use buckets for scooping or digging. Loaders can have many types of attachments added to them to suit different purposes.
Landplanes
If you need to smooth out dirt for a driveway or a field, a landplane is a very practical attachment to have. This tool has two forward-cutting blades that make contact with the ground at the same time. The loose material they kick up is then filtered over the attachment before it settles again.
Backhoes
Digging and trenching tasks on your worksite can be completed with the use of a backhoe attachment. This attachment basically turns any machine into an excavator that can be used for digging out a foundation.
